Local knowledge

Neighborhoods & Areas We Serve in Humble

Humble became one of Texas’s biggest oil boomtowns in 1904, and the Humble Oil and Refining Company that grew out of it is now part of Exxon. The small incorporated core sits at the US 59/I-69 Eastex Freeway and FM 1960 interchange, next to Deerbrook Mall, the only super-regional mall in suburban northeast Houston, and its population has held flat to slightly declining across the last three Census Bureau readings. The real growth is happening in the master-planned communities around it, so no two dumpster jobs in the Humble area look alike, and we handle all of them.

Residential renovations & cleanouts

Fall Creek is a master-planned golf community with 2,500 homes, built around a fitness center, pools, and a sports complex since its first residents arrived in 2003, and Eagle Springs is a wooded, lake-centered community built around an Island Club waterpark and athletic-club amenities. Both are full of homes getting remodeled or added onto. A 20-yard roll-off handles a garage cleanout, a room remodel, or a similar job in either community without cluttering the driveway.

Contractor & construction debris

The Groves, off West Lake Houston Parkway, sits on 993 acres of newer construction and is where most of Humble’s new-build debris originates. Larger commercial jobs near Deerbrook Mall and the US 59 corridor add a second stream of heavier debris. A 30-yard roll-off handles new-construction debris in The Groves, while our 40-yard containers cover the larger commercial cleanouts along US 59.

Storm & flood cleanup

The San Jacinto River flooded significantly during Harvey in 2017, with gauges in the area recording well over 30 inches of rain. When storms like that roll through, we help families and crews clear water-damaged drywall, flooring, and ruined belongings so recovery can begin.

Dumpster Placement & Permits in Humble

City of Humble Code of Ordinances Section 12.03.040 requires any large container, including a roll-off dumpster, on a residential or commercial property to comply with the city’s construction-permit and site-maintenance rules. In practice, that means a dumpster tied to permitted construction has to come from a licensed waste operator, stay screened from public view where reasonable, and get removed from the site once construction wraps up.

Humble’s Right-of-Way Management ordinance, Article 10.04, is written for telecom gear like network nodes and antenna towers, not roll-off dumpsters, so the city has never spelled out a separate driveway-versus-street rule for us to point you to. We default every Humble delivery to the driveway and flag anything different before the truck leaves our Waller yard. We transport accepted material to an authorized disposal or recycling facility. Illegal dumping is prohibited under Humble ordinances and Texas law.

Answers

Humble Dumpster Rental FAQs

How do I pick the right yard size for a Humble job, from an older-core cleanout to a Groves new build?

It depends on the job. A 20-yard handles a small cleanout in an older Humble neighborhood or most Fall Creek and Eagle Springs remodels, a 30-yard fits new-construction debris in The Groves, and a 40-yard covers larger commercial jobs. Tell us about your project and we’ll recommend a size.

What does Humble’s Section 12.03.040 actually require before a roll-off shows up?

City code ties large-container placement to construction-permit compliance rather than a separate driveway-versus-street rule. If your dumpster is tied to a permitted construction project, it needs to come from a licensed waste operator like Action Roll-Offs. The ordinance even carves out an affirmative defense for containers brought in after a natural disaster or other emergent event, good for up to sixty days, the same provision that would cover a rental tied to San Jacinto River flood cleanup.

What can go in a Humble roll-off, and what has to stay out?

Remodel tear-out, framing scrap, roofing, siding, and household cleanout debris from a Fall Creek or Groves job all go in. Dense material like concrete and tile is quoted by weight rather than volume, and hazardous items like paint, solvents, batteries, and tires stay out. Tell us what you’re clearing and we’ll flag anything that needs another route.

Can I place a dumpster in Fall Creek, Eagle Springs, or The Groves?

Yes. These are three of our most frequent Humble-area deliveries. We place the container on the driveway and can work around any HOA rule your community has on file.

How did Hurricane Harvey affect the Humble area?

The San Jacinto River flooded significantly during Harvey in 2017, with gauges in the area recording well over 30 inches of rain. We still deliver dumpsters for storm and water-damage cleanup whenever a similar event hits the area.

Do you also serve Kingwood and Spring from your Humble service area?

Yes. Action Roll-Offs delivers to Kingwood and Spring as well as Humble and its surrounding communities, all from the same Waller-based fleet.
